Mold Cleanup in Arlington MA – Making Your Indoor Air Quality Safe Again
If you are noticing odd smells or are seeing black, brown, or green dots along areas of your walls in the indoor environment of your home or business, you might have a problem with mold. Unless you have dealt with mold damage in the past, chances are that you are not sure where to turn or what to do next. The specialists at GreenPro Environmental are here to assist home and business owners just like yourself who are worried mold may be impacting their indoor air quality.
Mold damage in an indoor environment is not something that should be taken without caution. Breathing in the spores that are released into the air by this fungus on a consistent basis can have serious health consequences; this is especially true for children and the elderly, as well as individuals with pre-existing conditions. It’s important that once you notice a mold problem that the mold cleanup process begins as soon as possible.
Causes of Mold Damage
Mold is a microscopic organism that can thrive wherever moisture is present. Expect mold to show up if your house has plenty of moisture or water leakage problems. Any mold you have in your home is the effect of water incursion. Poor ventilation, humidity, flooding, and condensation play a part in developing mold. Mold inspection in the basement, kitchen and bathroom is always a priority due to high moisture in these areas. Once we have identified the areas inflicted, the mold removal process can begin.
While mold can possibly be serious, it is also important to know that there are “regular” levels of mold in every indoor environment. We also want you to know that certain kinds of mold are NOT toxic and can be treated by yourself without the use of mold removal companies. In order to find out exactly what is going on at the property in question, we perform a mold test. This is done by comparing an outside sample from your area to an inside sample to see if levels are normal or elevated. Our experts may suggest additional testing to get a improved picture of a situation. This may include additional air samples from alternate rooms or inside walls, or surface samples when visible mold is discovered.
Mold has become an indoor air quality concern to homeowners and homebuyers alike. Eliminating mold at the source not only saves your pocketbook, but prevents much larger issues from occurring down the road.

Working Together to Cleanup & Remove Mold
GreenPro was in southern Florida when four hurricanes and countless tropical storms hit over the past few years. Our biggest source of pride comes from the charity work we did in Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. During this time we worked closely with the EPA, FEMA, Doctors Without Borders and many other organizations to address the many issues facing the community. We witnessed some of the worst disasters and horrors man could imagine, but we pressed on, working to sanitize hospital and surgery tents for attending physicians and the thousands of patients affected. We also conducted a major cleanup campaign that was vital to get the homes that were salvageable livable again. As a result of our involvement with the EPA, FEMA and Doctors Without Borders during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and other storms in southern Florida, GreenPro was asked to directly aid in the Haitian Disaster of 2010.
When faced with the devastation we encountered in these crises, the necessity and importance of our job became very clear. We will do whatever it takes to make sure the job is done right… the first time. For more information, visit the link below.
During our efforts in Louisiana and Florida, GreenPro worked closely with many EPA members, as well as FEMA, insurance companies, and professionals ranging from doctors to chemical engineers to real estate specialists.
